SMART BETA PROGRAM

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Awarded by The Optimisation Team (“TOT”)

1. Overview

The SMART Beta Program provides early access to the updated Start Smart Program and the new SMART AI system for a select group of entrepreneurs who want to build foundations, scale faster, and contribute feedback to improve the final product.

This is a paid Beta seat, not a free seat, Alpha seat,  scholarship or prize.
By joining the SMART Beta Program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2. Beta Program Capacity

  • The Beta is limited to 10 seats only.
  • Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis once payment is completed.
  • TOT reserves the right to adjust seat allocation, close the Beta early, or expand capacity in exceptional circumstances.

3. Eligibility

To join the SMART Beta Program, you must:

  • Currently own or operate a business
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be generating some revenue (no minimum requirement, but recommended)
  • Be committed to implementing Start Smart and using SMART AI during the Beta
  • Have the time/availability to participate (approx. 4–6 hours per week)
  • Be fluent in English and comfortable with online learning & 1:Many coaching
  • Have a stable internet connection and a device suitable for accessing the platform
  • Have access to ChatGPT software solution that is free/paid for by the BETA participant.  (This is required for SMART AI to work).  This is the first phase of AI development so this way we can provide AI for free.
  • TOT may decline applicants deemed unsuitable for Beta participation.

4. Beta Requirements

As a Beta participant, you agree to:

  • Complete onboarding steps and access the Start Smart content
  • Use SMART AI as instructed and test features actively
  • Attend or watch the recordings of the 12 x 1:Many feedback sessions
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback on your experience
  • Report glitches, usability issues, or improvement suggestions
  • Participate in short surveys (max 10–15 minutes each)
  • Complete the Beta exit review at the end of the program

Failure to engage may result in removal from the Beta (no refunds).

5. Beta Fee & Payment Terms

  • The SMART Beta Program fee is $697 (including VAT)
  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
  • All payments are non-refundable except for the Referral Refund Offer described in section 6.
  • Pricing will increase after the Beta concludes.  The standard DIY price that at the time of this being published for Start Smart Program is $997, excluding SMART AI.

6. Referral Refund Offer

As a Beta participant, you may earn a refund through referrals. 

  • For every 2 people who join the Beta using your referral link, your full £697 Beta fee is refunded.
  • You may redeem this multiple times (e.g., 4 referrals = two full refunds).
  • Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days once verified.
  • Referrals must complete their payment in full to qualify.
  • Referral numbers do not include your Beta Ticket, so are additional tickets purchases over and above yours.

TOT reserves the right to verify and validate referrals.

7. What’s Included

Beta participants receive:

  • Lifetime access to the Start Smart Program
  • Lifetime access to SMART AI
  • All future upgrades, updates, and feature releases for both
  • 12 x 1:Many group feedback sessions - over a 12 week period starting week 13 January 2026 to 31 March 2026.
  • Access to the Optimisation Skool community
  • All templates, resources, and tools
  • Priority access to new modules in Start Smart added during or after the Beta
  • Founders-only pricing (never offered again)
  • No physical products are included.

8. Participant Commitments

By joining the Beta, you agree to:

a. Program Participation

  • Engage with content weekly
  • Apply the Start Smart framework to your business
  • Use SMART AI consistently
  • Attend or watch replays of feedback sessions

b. Feedback & Testing

  • Provide feedback through forms, surveys, and optional interviews
  • Report bugs, confusion points, or missing features
  • Offer insights into what supports your growth

c. Testimonials (Optional but Encouraged)

You may be invited to share:

  • Early impressions
  • Midpoint progress
  • End-of-Beta outcomes
  • Video or written testimonials
  • Participation is voluntary but appreciated.

d. Marketing Permission (Optional)

If you submit a testimonial, you grant TOT permission to use your name, business name, and media content in marketing materials.

e. Code of Conduct

Participants must:

  • Respect confidentiality of all materials and proprietary frameworks
  • Not copy, resell, or distribute Start Smart or SMART AI content, GPT's or anything else within the program
  • Not share sign on details with third parties
  • Behave respectfully in coaching sessions and community spaces
  • Violations may result in removal without refund.

9. Withdrawal or Termination

TOT reserves the right to remove any participant for:

  • Lack of participation
  • Misconduct or disruptive behaviour
  • Misuse of content or intellectual property
  • Breach of confidentiality
  • Chargebacks or fraudulent activity

Removed participants will not receive refunds unless removal is due to TOT error.

10. Intellectual Property

All Start Smart, SMART AI, and TOT materials - including frameworks, templates, videos, prompts, and processes - are protected intellectual property.

Participants receive a licence for single user business use only, not for sharing with colleagues, family and friends, for resale or for redistribution.

11. No Guarantees

While Start Smart + SMART AI provides structure, support, and strategic tools, TOT does not guarantee:

  • Specific revenue outcomes
  • Business growth results
  • Client acquisition
  • Financial performance

Your results depend on your effort, skills, decisions, and implementation.

12. Data Privacy

By participating, you consent to TOT:

  • Collecting and storing your application data
  • Analysing feedback to improve the program and AI
  • Contacting you regarding updates and future offers

13. Future Opportunities

Beta participants may be invited to become:

  • Program Ambassadors
  • Case Study Partners
  • Referral affiliates

These opportunities are optional.

14. Agreement

By registering and paying for the SMART Beta Program, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • Meet all eligibility requirements
  • Agree to all participant responsibilities
  • Understand the nature of a Beta environment
  • Accept the non-refundable payment policy
  • Agree not to distribute or misuse TOT intellectual property
